MECHANICAL SWEEPER

Mechanical (broom-conveyor) street sweepers clean using a purely mechanical pickup path instead of vacuum suction. A main broom at the center of the machine lifts debris directly onto a conveyor, which carries it up into a hopper — with no filter bags or dust filtration system in the loop at all. That makes this type of sweeper well suited to heavier, wetter, and coarser debris than a vacuum sweeper is designed for, and to sweeping in wet conditions and on uneven road surfaces.

Key Features

  • Mechanical conveyor-type pickup eliminates the filter-bag dust control system used on vacuum sweepers
  • Sweeps effectively in wet conditions and on uneven road surfaces
  • Hydraulically driven main and side brooms, with in-cab adjustment for road conditions
  • High-rise scissor-lift hopper dumps debris directly into a waiting tipper truck
  • Lifts heavy deposited sand and dust from the ground and from footpath/divider corners
  • Primary controls in-cab, with lever controls at the rear for maintenance access
