The SS-20000 is Maniar's highest-capacity Super Sucker, a 20,000-liter unit mounted on a 28-ton chassis — a high-flow vacuum truck built for the largest blockages, soluble grease, sand, and other material in storm and combined sewer pipe drains.

How It Works

A 6,400 cum/hr rotary lobe vacuum pump — the highest suction flow Maniar offers, built for continuous, high-speed work rather than the sliding-vane pumps on our standard vacuum trucks — generates high vacuum in the tank to siphon effluent, liquids, and settled sludge through an 8" x 15m suction hose. A sludge stirring arrangement converts solid silt into a slurry the pump can draw up, and a blow-back system discharges just the water content of the tank so the load carries away the sludge without hauling unwanted water weight. An optional jetting facility, driven by its own auxiliary engine independent of the vacuum pump's drive, lets the unit jet a line and vacuum out what it dislodges in the same pass.

Optional Jetting Facility

A jetting pump can be added to the SS-20000, driven by its own auxiliary engine so it runs independently of the vacuum pump — letting the unit jet and vacuum at the same time rather than one after the other. The pump is available across a wide range to match the job:

  • Small pump (from 70 LPM) — sized for washing down equipment and the working area once the main job is finished, not for clearing a line
  • Large pump (up to 330 LPM) — sized for clearing underground drainage pipe, capable of lines up to about 750/1000-1500mm (30-60 inches) in diameter

The jetting hose reel is boom-mounted rather than fixed, with the boom rotating 90 degrees to either side for reach and positioning around the vehicle.

Nozzles

When the jetting facility is fitted, it ships standard with two nozzle types:

  • Conical Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a general-purpose nozzle that balances forward penetration with rear thrust to pull the hose through the line
  • Round Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a wider spray pattern for flushing loosened debris out of the line

Additional nozzle types can be supplied to match specific jetting jobs, including penetrators, root cutters, descaling nozzles, and rotating nozzles.
