Articulating Boom LiftA-1000

The A-1000 is Maniar's most compact articulating boom lift — a truck-mounted platform with a 10m working height and 3.7m of horizontal outreach on a compact truck chassis, built for maintenance and access work in tight spaces where a straight telescopic boom's reach pattern won't fit.

How It Works

Unlike a straight telescopic boom, the A-1000 uses a jointed, articulating (knuckle-boom) boom made up of hexagonal, high-tensile-steel sections (min. YST 700 N/mm2) with self-lubricating pivot points and plasma/laser-cut profiles. Each joint is driven by a double-acting hydraulic ram with a horned tube and an induction-hardened, chrome-plated rod, which lets the boom fold up and reach over obstacles instead of only extending in a straight line. A side-boom control layout means the operator can move any boom section at any angle, with no fixed operating sequence required, and the FRP cage allows direct entry from the chassis deck. Before the boom can be raised, four hydraulically operated stabilizers must be extended and locked in place — a boom-stabilizer interlock enforces this, and the stabilizers lock automatically once the machine is open. The turntable slews a full 360 degrees continuously on a worm-reduction slew bearing, while a mechanical parallel-linkage leveling system keeps the cage level throughout the boom's motion. The entire platform is designed to the EN280 safety standard and is hydraulically operated from independent control panels at the stabilizers, base, and cage, backed by a European-brand PLC safety controller. A 3kV insulated bucket is available as an option for electrical maintenance work.

Specifications & Capacity

The A-1000 delivers a 10m working height with an 8m platform height and 3.7m of horizontal outreach, rated for a 120kg safe load in the cage, with 360-degree continuous slewing. It mounts on a compact truck chassis, making it the entry model in Maniar's articulating boom lift line, which spans 10m to 15.5m working height across five models, mounted on chassis ranging from a compact truck up to 7-ton GVW.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the working height and outreach of the A-1000?

10m working height with an 8m platform height and 3.7m of horizontal outreach, rated for a 120kg safe load.

What vehicle does the A-1000 mount on?

A compact truck chassis — it's the smallest model in Maniar's articulating boom lift range, which spans 10m to 15.5m working height.

Does the A-1000 offer an insulated bucket for electrical work?

The FRP cage is insulated to 600V (tested to 2200V) as standard, and a 3kV insulated bucket is available as an option for electrical maintenance work.

How many stabilizers does the A-1000 have, and are they interlocked?

Four hydraulically operated stabilizers with independent control. A boom-stabilizer interlock prevents the boom from operating until they're extended, and they lock automatically once the machine is open.

What safety standard is the A-1000 designed to?

EN280, with a European-brand PLC controller integrating the safety interlock system.
