Articulating Boom LiftXA-1100

The XA-1100 is an 11m-working-height articulating boom lift on a compact truck chassis, with 3.8m of outreach and a 200kg safe load — built for maintenance and access work that needs to reach up and over obstacles rather than just straight up.

How It Works

The XA-1100 uses a jointed, articulating (knuckle-boom) boom rather than a straight telescopic boom, so the platform can fold up and reach over obstacles instead of only extending in a straight line. The octagonal boom sections are high-tensile steel (min. YST 700 N/mm2) with self-lubricating pivot points and plasma/laser-cut profiles, each driven by a double-acting hydraulic ram with a horned tube and a hardened, chrome-plated rod. By design, there is no boom or structure positioned over the driver's cabin, and the boom folds to a maximum overall height of 2900mm in its collapsed, travel condition. A side-boom control layout lets the operator move any boom section at any angle with no fixed operating sequence, and the FRP cage allows direct entry from the chassis deck. Four hydraulically operated stabilizers must be extended and locked before the boom can be raised, and the hydraulic system's Dowty-or-equivalent gear pump is driven directly from the vehicle's own engine through a PTO, so no auxiliary engine is required. The turntable slews a full 360 degrees continuously on a worm-reduction slew bearing, and mechanical parallel-linkage cage leveling keeps the platform level throughout the boom's motion. The whole platform is designed to the EN280 safety standard, controlled through Walvoil-or-equivalent control valves and a European-brand PLC safety controller (EN/IEC 61000, CE marked). A 3kV insulated bucket is available as an option for electrical maintenance work.

Specifications & Capacity

The XA-1100 delivers an 11m working height with a 9m platform height and 3.8m of horizontal outreach, rated for a 200kg safe load, with 360-degree continuous slewing. It mounts on a compact truck chassis, with its hydraulic pump driven directly off the vehicle's own engine through a PTO. It sits near the entry point of Maniar's articulating boom lift line, which spans 10m to 15.5m working height across five models, mounted on chassis ranging from a compact truck up to 7-ton GVW.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the working height and outreach of the XA-1100?

11m working height with a 9m platform height and 3.8m of horizontal outreach, rated for a 200kg safe load.

What vehicle does the XA-1100 mount on, and how is it powered?

A compact truck chassis. The hydraulic pump is driven directly from the vehicle's own engine through a PTO, so no separate auxiliary engine is required.

Does the XA-1100 offer an insulated bucket for electrical work?

A 3kV insulated bucket is available as an option for electrical maintenance work.

Is there any boom or structure over the driver's cabin?

No — by design there is no boom or structure over the cabin, and the boom folds to a maximum overall height of 2900mm in the collapsed, travel condition.

How many stabilizers does the XA-1100 have, and are they interlocked?

Four hydraulically operated stabilizers with independent control. A boom-stabilizer interlock prevents the boom from operating until they're extended, and they lock automatically once the machine is open.
