Vacuum TruckGM-3000

The GM-3000 is a 3,000-liter vacuum truck (also called a vac truck, hydrovac truck, or pumper truck) mounted on a 4-ton chassis, for municipal and industrial liquid waste removal — self-contained on its own vehicle, with hydraulic tank tipping and door opening built in.

How It Works

A 390 cum/hr vacuum pump, driven off the vehicle's gearbox-fitted PTO, generates high vacuum in the tank to siphon effluent, liquids, and sludge out of sewer lines, septic tanks, lift stations, and catch basins through a 3" x 15m suction hose. A sludge stirring arrangement uses high-velocity air to convert solid silt into a liquid or semi-liquid slurry the pump can draw up, and a blow-back system can then discharge just the water content of the tank under pressure, so the load carries away the sludge without hauling unwanted water weight. Once full, the tank tilts and the rear door opens hydraulically to discharge at the disposal site. Primary and secondary ball-float shut-offs, plus a basket strainer, protect the pump from solids and tank overflow.

Key Features

  • 3,000-liter cylindrical mild steel tank with an internal baffle, side railing, and a climbing ladder
  • 390 cum/hr sliding-vane vacuum pump (92% max vacuum), driven off the vehicle's gearbox-fitted PTO
  • 3" (75mm) x 15m heavy-duty PVC suction hose
  • Hydraulic tank tipping and hydraulic rear door opening
  • Sludge stirring and blow-back system to convert silt to slurry and discharge only the water content
  • Derrick arm available as an option
  • Sludge level indicator, compound gauge, and quick couplers for the suction line

Suction System Features

Available hydraulic features vary across the GM-series by tank size. On the GM-3000:

  • Tank tipping and rear door: hydraulic tilting and hydraulic door opening are standard from the GM-3000 up
  • Door locking: manual screw-type
  • Derrick arm: available as an option on every GM-series model
  • Suction hose reel: not fitted on this model

Hydraulic door locking becomes available from the GM-5000, and a hydraulically operated suction hose reel on the GM-8000.

Ideal For

  • Operations that want a self-contained unit with hydraulic tipping and door opening, without stepping up to a larger chassis
  • Septic tanks, sewer lines, and lift stations needing sludge or liquid waste removal
  • Routine municipal and light industrial liquid waste routes

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GM-3000 have hydraulic tank tipping and door opening?

Yes — the GM-3000 is the first model in the GM-series to include both hydraulic tank tipping and a hydraulically opening rear door.

Does the GM-3000 have hydraulic door locking?

Not on this model — door locking is manual screw-type on the GM-3000. Hydraulic door locking is available from the GM-5000 up.

Is a derrick arm available on the GM-3000?

Yes — a derrick arm is available as an option on every model in the GM-series, including the GM-3000.

What size suction hose does it use?

A 3" (75mm) x 15m heavy-duty PVC hose, matched to its 390 cum/hr vacuum pump flow.
