Vacuum TruckGM-8000

The GM-8000 is Maniar's highest-capacity vacuum truck, an 8,000-liter unit mounted on a 16-ton GVW chassis, for municipal and industrial liquid waste removal — the only model in the range with a hydraulically operated suction hose reel, on top of the full hydraulic tipping, door opening, and door locking carried over from the GM-5000.

How It Works

A 540 cum/hr vacuum pump — the highest flow in the GM-series — driven off the vehicle's gearbox-fitted PTO, generates high vacuum in the tank to siphon effluent, liquids, and sludge out of sewer lines, septic tanks, lift stations, and catch basins through a 4" x 15m suction hose. A sludge stirring arrangement uses high-velocity air to convert solid silt into a liquid or semi-liquid slurry the pump can draw up, and a blow-back system can then discharge just the water content of the tank under pressure, so the load carries away the sludge without hauling unwanted water weight. The hydraulically operated hose reel winds and unwinds the suction hose without manual handling, and once full, the tank tilts hydraulically and the rear door opens and locks hydraulically at the disposal site.

Key Features

  • 8,000-liter cylindrical mild steel tank with an internal baffle, side railing, and a climbing ladder
  • 540 cum/hr sliding-vane vacuum pump (92% max vacuum) — the highest suction flow in the GM-series
  • 4" (100mm) x 15m heavy-duty PVC suction hose
  • Hydraulically operated suction hose reel — unique to this model in the GM-series
  • Hydraulic tank tipping, hydraulic rear door opening, and hydraulic door locking
  • Sludge stirring and blow-back system to convert silt to slurry and discharge only the water content
  • Derrick arm available as an option

Suction Pump & Hose

The suction hose is sized to match the vacuum pump's flow, so the hose itself doesn't choke the pump. The GM-8000's 540 cum/hr vacuum pump — the highest flow in the GM-series — pairs with a wider 4" (100mm) suction hose, compared to the 3" (75mm) hose used on the GM-3500T, GM-3000, and GM-5000 at 390 cum/hr.

Suction System Features

Available hydraulic features vary across the GM-series by tank size. The GM-8000 has the full set:

  • Tank tipping and rear door: hydraulic tilting and hydraulic door opening
  • Door locking: hydraulic
  • Suction hose reel: hydraulically operated — the GM-8000 is the only model in the range with this feature
  • Derrick arm: available as an option on every GM-series model

Ideal For

  • High-volume municipal and industrial liquid waste routes needing the largest tank and highest suction flow in the range
  • Crews that want the suction hose wound and unwound hydraulically rather than by hand
  • Operations that want the full hydraulic feature set: tipping, door opening, and door locking

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GM-8000 have a hydraulically operated suction hose reel?

Yes — the GM-8000 is the only model in the GM-series with a hydraulically operated suction hose reel, on top of the hydraulic tipping, door opening, and door locking carried over from the GM-5000.

What size suction hose does the GM-8000 use?

A 4" (100mm) hose, matched to its 540 cum/hr vacuum pump flow — the highest suction flow in the GM-series.

Is a derrick arm available on the GM-8000?

Yes — a derrick arm is available as an option on every model in the GM-series, including the GM-8000.

How is the GM-8000 different from the GM-5000?

The GM-8000 carries a larger tank (8,000L vs. 5,000L) and higher suction flow (540 cum/hr vs. 390 cum/hr) with a correspondingly larger suction hose, and adds a hydraulically operated suction hose reel not available on the GM-5000.
