Sewer JetterMJ-500

The MJ-500 is a compact, auxiliary-engine-driven sewer jetter for clearing blocked sewer and drain lines up to 6 inches in diameter, mounted on a compact pickup / mini truck chassis — small enough for narrow-access jobs a full-size jetter truck can't reach.

How It Works

High-pressure jetting is the preferred way to clear a blocked line and remove the debris inside it, rather than just pushing the blockage further down the pipe. The MJ-500's 13 LPM / 200 bar jetting pump, driven by an auxiliary Greaves diesel engine, forces water through a 1/4" x 30m hose and a self-propelled nozzle that pulls itself forward through the line, breaking up the blockage and flushing debris out ahead of it. Because it maintains constant pressure at the nozzle regardless of hose length, it cleans faster and more consistently than mechanical rodding or cable machines, whose cutting power drops off with distance. An additional hand-held washing gun is included for equipment and vehicle cleaning, and general high-pressure washing of walkways and outdoor surfaces.

Key Features

  • 500-liter horizontal plastic water tank
  • 13 LPM / 200 bar jetting pump, driven by a 10Hp Greaves auxiliary diesel engine
  • 1/4" (6mm) x 30m jetting hose, manually wound on a pedestal-mounted hose reel with a stainless steel rotary joint
  • Lateral cleaning system with a hand-held washing gun for equipment, vehicle, and general high-pressure washing
  • Rear-mounted high-pressure nozzle for road sprinkling
  • Closed rear body with a lockable door, low-water audible alarm, and a transparent water-level indicator
  • Two-coat epoxy primer plus PU/synthetic enamel finish for corrosion resistance

Nozzles

Every MJ-series sewer jetter ships standard with two nozzle types:

  • Conical Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a general-purpose nozzle that balances forward penetration with rear thrust to pull the hose through the line
  • Round Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a wider spray pattern for flushing loosened debris out of the line

Additional nozzle types can be supplied to match specific jetting jobs, including:

  • Penetrator Nozzle — forward and rear jets to punch through grease plugs and tough blockages before flushing
  • Root Cutter Nozzle — carries small cutting blades driven by the water jets to shred root intrusions
  • Flusher / Descaling Nozzle — flailing chains or carbide tips to scour hardened scale and mineral buildup from pipe walls
  • Rotating Nozzle — spins under pressure for 360° wall cleaning, effective on grease and light debris

Optional Accessories

  • Inspection Camera — attaches in place of the nozzle to give a live color view down the line as the hose is fed in, with recording so you can document line condition before and after cleaning

Ideal For

  • Sewer and drain lines up to 6 inches (150mm) in diameter
  • Narrow-access jobs where a full-size jetter truck can't reach
  • Municipalities and contractors that also need a lightweight unit for general high-pressure washing
