Sewer JetterMJ-8000

The MJ-8000 is Maniar's highest-capacity sewer jetter, an 8,000-liter unit mounted on a 16-ton GVW chassis, built for clearing large trunk lines from about 30 to 60 inches in diameter — the top of the MJ-series range for major municipal infrastructure and large industrial sites.

How It Works

High-pressure jetting clears a blocked line and flushes the debris out of it, rather than just pushing the blockage further down the pipe. The MJ-8000's 267 LPM / 150 bar triplex plunger pump, driven by a full-torque split-shaft PTO off the vehicle's gearbox, forces water through a 25mm x 60m hose and a self-propelled nozzle that pulls itself forward through the line, breaking up the blockage and flushing debris ahead of it. Its high flow is built for the largest trunk lines in the MJ-series range, while maintaining constant pressure at the nozzle regardless of hose length. A hydraulically wound hose reel and an additional hand-held washing gun for equipment, vehicle, and general high-pressure washing round out the unit.

Key Features

  • 8,000-liter mild steel water tank with an internal baffle, top manhole, and climbing ladder
  • 267 LPM / 150 bar triplex plunger jetting pump, driven by a full-torque split-shaft PTO
  • 25mm x 60m thermoplastic jetting hose, rated to 170 bar working / 400 bar minimum bursting pressure
  • Hydraulically wound hose reel on a pedestal bearing with a stainless steel rotary joint
  • Lateral cleaning system with a hand-held washing gun for equipment, vehicle, and general high-pressure washing
  • Water level alarm and gauge, plus a pressure gauge and 3-way control valves on the control panel
  • Two-coat epoxy primer plus PU/synthetic finish for corrosion resistance

Nozzles

Every MJ-series sewer jetter ships standard with two nozzle types:

  • Conical Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a general-purpose nozzle that balances forward penetration with rear thrust to pull the hose through the line
  • Round Head Nozzle (front and rear holes) — a wider spray pattern for flushing loosened debris out of the line

Additional nozzle types can be supplied to match specific jetting jobs, including:

  • Penetrator Nozzle — forward and rear jets to punch through grease plugs and tough blockages before flushing
  • Root Cutter Nozzle — carries small cutting blades driven by the water jets to shred root intrusions
  • Flusher / Descaling Nozzle — flailing chains or carbide tips to scour hardened scale and mineral buildup from pipe walls
  • Rotating Nozzle — spins under pressure for 360° wall cleaning, effective on grease and light debris

Optional Accessories

  • Inspection Camera — attaches in place of the nozzle to give a live color view down the line as the hose is fed in, with recording so you can document line condition before and after cleaning
  • Hose Counter — tracks how much hose has been fed into the line, available as a mechanical meter-wheel counter or a digital footage counter

Ideal For

  • Large trunk lines from about 750/1000mm up to 1500mm (30-60 inches) in diameter
  • Major municipal infrastructure and large industrial sites
  • Crews that want a hose counter to track footage fed into the line

Frequently Asked Questions

What size drain lines can the MJ-8000 clean?

From about 750/1000mm up to 1500mm (30-60 inches) in diameter, using its 267 LPM / 150 bar jetting pump and 60m hose — the largest capacity in the MJ-series range.

What nozzles come with the MJ-8000?

Conical Head and Round Head nozzles, both with front and rear holes, are standard. Specialty nozzles such as root cutters and descaling nozzles can be supplied on request.

Does the MJ-8000 include a hose counter?

A hose counter is available as an option, as either a mechanical meter-wheel counter or a digital footage counter, to track how much hose has been fed into the line.

Can I add an inspection camera?

Yes — a camera can be fitted in place of the nozzle on any MJ-series jetter, including the MJ-8000, with both live view and recording.
